You’ve just received your gallery invitation, spent some time pouring over your images and maybe a happy tear or two has been shed. πŸ˜‰ Now what? How do you order prints, figure out what size wall art you want, and where, or design a custom album? I’m here to do all of that for you!

Step 1: Locate your product guide.

You should have this PDF in an email from Katy, either from booking or delivery of gallery.

Step 2: Choose your favorite images.

After logging in to view your gallery, if on a laptop or desktop computer, when you hover over an image in the gallery, you’ll see a small “heart” icon in the lower left hand corner. By clicking on the heart, you will save the image to your favorites, which both you and I can access on both ends of the gallery. It’s an easy way for us to reference images you’re interested in ordering during an ordering session.

Step 3: Think about the end goal for your session.

Do you want prints to gift to grandparents? A couple pieces of wall art? An album or book for your coffee table? Digital images for scrapbooking and printing yourself? Make a quick list of these things, such as who you are wanting to gift images to, and what walls you’d like to hang art on.

Step 4: Schedule a virtual ordering session with Katy.

At this ordering session, Katy can view your favorites with you, talk about which ones you like the best, and help you narrow down which images would be best for specific products or projects. She can provide mock-ups of wall art so you know exactly what it will look like before it goes up on your wall, show you album cover material options, and chat about any additional retouching requests you have before images go to print.

If you already know exactly what you want to order, you are welcome to skip the ordering session and simply send me an email outlining exactly what images you want ordered in what product. Please include the image filename and the type and size of print or product.Β

Step 5: Place your order.

Katy will total and invoice you for your product order via email, just like the one you got when booking your session. As soon as that’s paid, Katy can start work on your order. You can expect standard print orders to be delivered within 2-3 weeks, wall art and album orders within 3-4 weeks, and digital images within just a few days. Katy will notify you when your order is ready to be picked up from the studio, or deliver to your Bloomington address upon request. If you reside out of town, Katy can ship your order directly to your residence.

Digital Image Selection & Delivery

If your session fee included a certain number of digital images, or you’ve decided to purchase digital images from your gallery, you can either mark only the images you’d like to receive in digital format as favorites via the “heart” icon, and then send Katy an email to tell her your final selections have been made, or send her an email referencing the image filenames in the gallery directly, i.e. “SmithFamilyColor_001”.

If you’ve purchased a mini-session that includes digital images in the session fee, Katy will send you a second email after the initial gallery invite, asking you to choose a specific number of images for download.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Katy with any questions about ordering or the product guide. You can email her at katy@icarus.photosΒ or call/text at 812.444.9805.
